CBS Home Entertainment in association with Robert Harris of The Film Preserve Ltd partnered with Audio Mechanics to transfer, restore and re-master the sound track of this eight-time Academy Award-winning musical feature from 1964. Proprietary equipment was used to accurately transfer the original 6-track magnetic masters in high resolution, capturing the timeless clarity and detail of the original film. The audio was then meticulously restored and re-mastered into multiple formats, including 7.1 for theatrical presentation, 5.1 for BluRay/DVD for home theater, as well as new archival tracks representing the original Academy Award-winning 6-track 70mm mix.
